Rows matched the way you mean
Pick an ID column (SKU, invoice number, email) and re-sorted files still line up. No ID? Rows are aligned in order like a text diff, so one inserted row doesn't flag everything below it.
Excel and CSV compare
Match rows by an ID column or by position, then see the added, removed and changed rows with each changed cell marked. Your files are read in this browser and never uploaded.

RowDiff runs in your browser. If this message stays, JavaScript may be switched off.
Pick an ID column (SKU, invoice number, email) and re-sorted files still line up. No ID? Rows are aligned in order like a text diff, so one inserted row doesn't flag everything below it.
Set a tolerance for numbers, ignore case and stray spaces, and choose whether to compare formulas or the values they produce.
Pick a column on each side and get three lists: in A but not B, in B but not A, and in both, with counts for repeated values.
Download an .xlsx with added rows in green, removed rows in red and changed cells marked with the old value in a note, or a CSV of just the differences.
One credit unlocks one pair of sheets: the highlighted .xlsx report and the CSV of differences, downloaded as often as you like, and files over 5,000 rows. No subscription; credits never expire.
One credit = one report. Credits never expire.
No. Your files are opened and compared by code running in this browser tab, using the SheetJS library. When you spend a credit, the browser sends your key and a fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) of the two sheets so the same pair isn't charged twice. The file contents never leave your device.
One pair of sheets. It unlocks comparing files over 5,000 rows and every download of that pair's .xlsx report and CSV, at any settings, as often as you like.
Excel workbooks (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls), OpenDocument spreadsheets (.ods) and text files (.csv, .tsv, .txt). Each sheet in a workbook can be picked separately.
Yes. Open the workbook on side A, click "Or compare another sheet of file A" under side B, and pick a different sheet.
Not if you match rows by a key column such as an ID, SKU or invoice number. Rows are then paired by that value wherever they sit in each file.
Rows with the same key are paired in the order they appear, and the summary tells you how many keys were repeated so you can check them.
No. RowDiff compares cell values, or formulas when you switch to formula mode. Fonts, fills, comments and column widths are ignored.
By data rows in the larger of the two sheets, not counting the header row or fully blank rows.
